Description
Tomato, tomato, it doesn’t really matter how you say it there is nothing better than a thick slice of fresh-from-the-garden tomato on a hot biscuit.
If that has your taste buds brimming come on down to Bristol’s State Street Farmers Market Saturday, August 8th. You can try one of the many varieties of heirloom tomatoes offered by our many local farmers. The farmers are providing the sample tomatoes and the market will provide the hot-from-the-oven biscuits. All free to the public.
The tomato biscuits will be ready early when the market opens and available until 10:00AM, so bring the family and enjoy breakfast at the market.
While you are there check out “Bristol’s Home Grown Tomato” contest. The largest, the ugliest, the tiniest tomato will be judged by the most elite tomato judges in the market.
The State Street Farmers Market is located at 810 State Street in the Downtown Center.
Market hours on Saturday are from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM and Wednesday afternoons through August from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
