On Monday, October 18th, we will welcome Singer/Songwriter Kim Lyons to the Old Southern Porch at Crooked Road General Store in Bristol! This special evening willl be titled Real Men Wear Pink and (Real Friends Tell Them How Good They Look In It!). Supper is around 5PM and will include a Chicken Salad Sandwich or Grilled Chicken Salad, Pink Lemonade and Strawberry Shortcake for our Blue Plate price of $5.80. Kim will perform at 6:30PM with a jam to follow! This event is intended to shed a new light on the needs that people right here in the Tri-Cities face when diagnosed with a terrible disease like breast cancer. One of those needs is transportation to and from treatment. Whether traveling a "crooked road" or a straight highway, cancer patients never seem to know what is around the next bend or over the next ridge. Circle of Hope can take away some of that fear by providing assistance with non-medical concerns. We look forward to helping raise as much money as we can to help this great cause! This night is offered in honor of our dear friend Lula Ray Hawthorne who just finished her final treament for breast cancer! Lula Ray is known as the "lunch lady" at Holston View Elementary and thinks everyone deserves the support of great friends and family! Also, there will be a prize for the most creative entry in our Paint A Pumpkin PINK Contest, a great idea that came from April Taylor, who recorded Kim's song, Real Men Wear Pink!
