Holston Mountain. Boys originated by Gene Boyd and Leon Kiser. The boys today are carrying on the tradition of solid-driving and soulful bluegrass music. They are noted as the favorite bluegrass band of the Bristol, VA-TN community. Members of the band have been seen jammin' around the scene at Merlefest, Galax, and Rockygrass. ?They've played their fair share of festivals as well as shows at venues such as: Java J's, (sold out shows) for the Paramount Theater of Bristol, and the Country Music Mural. They have also been featured on a CMT special called "Small Town Secrets: Gators, Guts, and Guitars". The original songs and material they play is guarenteed to grab your attention and and keep your feet in the groove.
Every Tuesday and Thursday evening from May through October enjoy some of the best bluegrass, nostalgia, country, and rock n' roll music our region has to offer at the Downtown Center. Music begins at 7:00pm. Concessions are provided. Bring your own chair or borrow one of ours. Admission is free.
